Dear Freshman

We would like to wish you a warm welcome to the University of Debrecen. Throughout the following five or six years that you will probably spend by studying as hard as you can , it can occur that during certain periods you will live day after day, exams after exams, then the unit of time will not be the hour anymore but the self controls that follow each other. But there is no reason to worry, nevertheless there are plenty of resources on campus. From these, the most momentous ones crest as a lighthouse above the dark sea of the seminars,labs and lectures.

 

The first one – and one of the most important events, but maybe the most remarkable in a Freshman’s life – is sooner than you think. That is the reason why we are sending this letter to You, and that is why this simple piece of paper could be such an important turning-point in your life, so Harry Potter’s  letter from Hogwarts is only an exotic  flyer compared to this…

We, the members of the Students Union of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmaceuticals and Public Health, would like to seize the oppurtunity and invite You to Your Freshman Camp!

 

The Freshman Camp is a good oppotunity to get to know those people, who will probably play a very important role in the next few years of your life. This is the first occasion when you can grimpse your future friends or groupmates, and it can also happen that these fellows later become the most determining people in your life. Who knows? It can occur that after a long, tiring but  also frenetic night You realize You just found  Mr or Mrs Big with whom You will live happily… ever… after! You can pass throught all these lifelong experiences in the wonderful area of Tokaj, while enjoying the company of many amusing people at numerous parties, trips and at other entertaining events. Above all this, the Freshman Camp provide a wide range of facalities that help You with getting answers to many questions about student life so You can pick up all the useful and in most cases indispensable pranks. This means that You will be at an advantage when ,in September, as the semester starts, You enter the doors of a University where the people are already familiar to You.

 

We are going to take care of you for a week, of only 19000 HUF! There will be competitions, bathing, paintball, waterfootball, wine-tasting, canoening on Tisza, masquerade and parties all night. Full board and lodging, three meals/day. All this accompanied by no-stop blast! DON’T MISS THAT!!!

 

And when will it be? From 26th, August till 29th, August. But we have only 50 space for foreign students so hurry up! Register now!

Step 2: when you got that e-mail,but only when you got that e-mail, pay the amount to this account:

Step 3: with the verification code, upload the certificate about the transaction, so we will know that you have paid the fee for the camp

The only thing you have to do after the registration is to be in Tokaj between 12:00 – 15:00. Address: 3911 Tokaj, Horgász u. 3.

 

What do you have to bring with you by all?

  • swimsuit
  • a creative costume
  • shoes and casual clothes for hiking
  • repellent against mosquito
  • anything you think you would need

 

At the end of our letter we would like to attract your attention to an exclusive offer: as you may know from September on the various labs and seminars you will need a lab coat. Don’t buy any because at the start of the semester you can get one for very reasonable price with the university’s logo and Your name on it!
